What are early-intervention services?

Babies and toddlers rarely do the same thing at exactly the same age. You may wonder… Why isn’t my baby crawling? Why isn’t my child sitting up? Should my child be talking more at his/her age?

Wonderland provides an in-home evaluation of a child’s development at no cost to the family, so give us a call if you have any concerns at all. We work with families of children who qualify for early-intervention services to set up a regular therapy plan based on the child’s needs. Our team of highly qualified, skilled, and dedicated practitioners provide the highest quality occupational and physical therapy, speech-language pathology, special education, and infant mental health support. Your child can’t wait. Call us today or fill out our online referral request form to schedule an evaluation.

“Wonderland’s dedicated and committed staff of therapists and family support services has enabled many of my patients with early developmental differences and disabilities to get started on effective interventions quickly and efficiently. Their team provides individual service plans which are tailored to the needs of each child served as he/she moves forward. This support often makes a big difference in lessening the initial fear, loneliness, and disappointment families experience and points the way toward a hopeful future. I feel lucky that Wonderland Developmental Center is in my practice neighborhood!”

What services does Wonderland provide?

Do you provide services in my area?

Wonderland offers a broad range of early-intervention services and supplemental support programs to meet the individual needs of each child and family.

What do these services cost?

Wonderland receives county and school district funding toward the costs of early-intervention services. We also bill private insurance and Medicaid for therapy costs. Parents are responsible for applicable deductibles, co-pays, and co-insurance, however financial assistance is available. Donations from foundations, individuals, United Way, and annual fundraisers help support the availability of early intervention for all families.

Wonderland seeks to provide services to children regardless of their family’s ability to pay for the full cost of their services.

How do we start services?

Get started by requesting a child’s evaluation here or by calling us at 206-364-3777. Our intake coordinator will respond to all evaluation requests within two business days.
